Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for a Sansui 5050. This includes all the parts you need to rebuild a Sansui 5050 driver board, power supply board, preamp board, phono EQ board, and tuner board, as well as replacements for the 2 main capacitors. This does not include output transistors, lights, or fuses. The original output transistors are two 2SA765 and two 2SC1445. Those are no longer being made, and any available on eBay are most likely counterfeit and may damage your receiver. These outputs can be replaced with MJE15032G (replaces 2SC1445) and MJE15033G (replaces 2SA765). These are a different design but are easy to mount in place of the originals, and will work well. These are not cheap Made in China parts, they are extremely high-quality and they are what I use when I rebuild Sansui equipment. The transistors are the correct subs for the originals, and the capacitors are the same capacitance (uf) and the same or higher voltage. The main capacitors go up in capacitance for improved sound. I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but rebuilding a receiver is moderately complicated, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron and a dim-bulb tester with 60W or 100W incandescent bulb. This kit may not fix your Sansui, but it's pretty likely that it will, and it will definitely help it run better. If you have a background crackle or hum, this will probably take care of it.
