This vintage Schatz brass ship's instrument is a precise barometer and thermometer made in West Germany. The beautifully crafted piece is a must-have for collectors of antique scientific instruments and maritime memorabilia. The thermometer accurately displays temperature in both Celsius and Fahrenheit, while the barometer shows atmospheric pressure in inches and millibars. The diameter of the bezel is 6 3/4". It protrudes approx 4". Its mounted on a polished dark stained 14" wooden plaque. There are a couple of areas on the plaque that appear to be chipped or is it bubbled polyeurathane?
