Set includes: (1) O-Ring and (1) Gasket in EPDM elastomer. EPDM is an elastomer commonly used in O-rings and other types of seals. Safe for use with potable water and food products. Suitable for use with hot water. ALSO AVAILABLE: Nitrile (aka NBR, Buna-N), silicone, and FKM Viton elestomers. Please inquire. Guidelines for Replacement of Seals 1. Seals should be replaced if a leak occurs, if seals become pinched or cut, or every two years. 2. Sealing surfaces should be cleaned of any contamination or old lubricant. 3. The new O-ring and gasket should be lubricated with silicone grease before installation. This makes it much easier to assemble and disassemble the filter housing.
