Set includes: (1) O-Ring and (1) Gasket in Viton FKM elastomer. Viton® FKM is a fluoro-elastomer commonly used in O-rings, chemical-resistant gloves, and other molded or extruded goods. Its performance reliability under extreme exposure conditions makes it an attractive material to use in many demanding applications, such as the aerospace and chemical processing industries. It is compatible with most aggressive chemicals. Viton® is also the polymer of choice for many of today's advanced fuel and engine systems.Service temperature range: -45°C to +275°C. ALSO AVAILABLE: Nitrile (aka NBR, Buna-N), silicone, and EPDM elestomers. Please inquire. Guidelines for Replacement of Seals 1. Seals should be replaced if a leak occurs, if seals become pinched or cut, or every two years. 2. Sealing surfaces should be cleaned of any contamination or old lubricant. 3. The new O-ring and gasket should be lubricated with silicone grease before installation. This makes it much easier to assemble and disassemble the filter housing.
