The timing light is used to check and adjust the ignition timing of an engine by flashing a strobe light when the spark plug fires. It connects to the vehicle's battery with red and black clips and has an inductive clamp that goes around the number one spark plug wire. The light is used to see the timing marks on the engine's pulley to ensure the spark is firing at the correct moment. This model features a xenon flashtube, works on 4, 6, and 8 cylinder engines, and has a solid-state circuitry.
