This 10 Serbian dinar banknote is part of the series that have a more detailed national coat of arms, complying with the Decree on Establishing the Original Great and Small Coat-of-Arms, Flag, and National Anthem of the Republic of Serbia. The note highlights the creator of the contemporary Serbian alphabet Vuk Stefanovic Karadzic. Its obverse side features the following: Karadzics portrait as a young man; the exhibit of eyeglasses, pen, and an open book from the standing collection devoted to Karadzic and Dositej Obradovic; the bank seal; and a photo of an old Karadzic holding a sword. Its vertically-oriented reverse side contains the coat of arms of the Republic of Serbia, the members of the First Slavic Congress in Prague in 1848, and a picture of a seated Karadzic.
