The head and tang is made of walnut with the handles made of Oak, a nod to the famous oak tree where Red ventured to find Andys final invite. The pins in the handle are made of walnut. This hammer is built completely by hand by myself in my shop and hand sanded meticulously for several hours, much like Andy shaped and polished the rocks he carved with his hammer. This is a beautiful conversation piece and a must have for a Shawshank Redemption fan. This is not an officially licensed product. This is fan art produced by fans of this cult classic film!
