Check the listing for details. Silva Internal Brake Cable Kit Bicycle Frame Building. Color: brass, metallic, Condition: New other (see details). Listed at 29.99 USD. For sale is a kit for brazing in and running an internal rear brake cable. This is made by Silva in Italy and consists of quantities and part numbers 1-#150, 2-#368 and 2-#369. These are brand new, unused, unmodified with minimal shop wear with very little to no light surface rust. The brass tube has to be bent to fit in and be able to pop out at the other end of the frame. When bending avoid small sharp radiuses. It is recommended to run a thin teflon tube through the brass tube when setting up the brake. When we set these up first we drill the frame putting oval slots where we want the cable to run. Next we put about 4mm of the brass tube into one of the cylinder pieces and silver braze it in. Next we gently bend the brass tube so we can push it inside the frame and be able to fish it out at the other end. Then we slide the other cylinder piece into position and measure how much of the brass tube extends past the cylinder. By doing some math you can determine how much of the brass tube has to get cut off so that 4mm stays in the unbrazed cylinder when its in place. Slide the brass tube portion out of the frame and braze the second cylinder with 4mm of the brass tube extended up inside the cylinder. Slide the brass tube back in the frame, slide on the reinforcing diamonds and braze it in. The ruler in picture #2 is there to show approximate sizes. The seller assumes no responsibility or liability if these brake parts are modified, altered, brazed or welded on. No refunds or returns.
