This 7 by 2 5/8 by 2 inch cardboard box once held chocolates by Kibbe Brothers of Springfield, Massachusetts. Written in pencil on the bottom is "E.L C Nov. 15, 1905". Against a blue gingham background is a little girl with a big hat, a frilly dress and a large bouquet of flowers. Floral paper lines the sides. Inside, there are the remains of a lace doily over some cellophane with the company's logo. Placed at the bottom was a 4 3/4 by 2 1/4 inch card with a little girl carrying a parasol and a guarantee for the chocolates. There's a seal on the edge of the inside of the lid which held a small ribbon bow - the remains of which are in shreds. The top has some water stains, and the paper on the lower left corner has been torn away. It's still a charming little box.
