Check the listing for details. SNAP ON IM5100 TUNE UP KIT & 8-VANE ROTOR CONVERSION KIT BOOST YOUR TOOL TORQUE. Condition: New other (see details). Listed at 95.00 USD. This ebay Buy-It-Now offering is intended and designed for use on Snap on IM5100 models as I designed it. eBay allows me to provide live help to my buyers and prospective buyers by using the "Contact Seller" link on every item in my eBay store. Buyers provide their phone number on the eBay Sales Record for live help after the sale of any of my items. If you email me for through eBay or leave a voicemail I can call you back and provide specific help with your questions. Take note below as I list concerns which are the responsibility of the buyer and keys to success in this simple DIY conversion kit that I am offering. The rotor I provide increases IM5100 tool rpm and torque output by: tuning up (which reduces internal slippage), sealing internal oil and air leakage while increasing torque output by about 190 rated foot pounds. Your cylinder or air motor sleeve should be briefly honed with a brake cylinder hone and thoroughly washed and inspected for cracks and rust pits to make this important repair and upgrade provide you the best results. The IM5100 Snap on Service Center tool breakdown sheet above shows 460 foot pounds of test torque after a repair was completed on a tool leaving the Service Center. The IM6500HP Snap on Service Center sheet tool breakdown sheet above shows 650 foot pounds of test torque after a repair was completed on a tool leaving the Service Center. This is the list of parts below is as shown above in my listing photos.1) OEM 8-vane rotor. Polished and deburred. Vane fitment verified. 1) IM5100 tune up kit with 8-vanes. Simple throttle valve kit installation instructions are herein provided below:The white seat goes in the bottom of the freshly cleaned tool handle bore first. There is a white raised circle or 360 ring on the white seat that must face up toward you. The circle ring is where the face of the red tip valve seals to prevent the tool from passing air or operating when your trigger is released. The seat is carefully installed using soft material like fuel line to push it into the tool bore. Use oil or clean vaseline or silicone grease to lube the seat and help it settle into place with the help of your fuel line to push it home. I next slide the trigger stem assembly using a flashlight to see into the bore to center the trigger stem pin locating hole (for the tip valve stem) straight down in the middle of the hole in the white tip valve seat. Make sure to locate the red/orange tip valve stem into the trigger stem hole in the trigger stem through the white seat hole while holding it with your long tweezers. Test your work by placing the narrow end of the tip valve spring onto the tip valve nub. Apply holding spring pressure on the tip valve to feel it lift when you push in on the trigger stem. Slowly and gently push the trigger to feel if you correctly located the tip valve stem into the trigger valve stem hole below. If you immediately feel tip valve movement with immediate trigger movement then you are correctly located. Now leave the tip valve spring with the narrow end on the red tip valve nub. Change the black o'ring on the steel bushing that screws into the tool handle. There are 4 o'rings and 2 seats for 2 repairs. Screw the bushing into the tool applying pressure on the spring gently and slowly until you seat the bushing and tighten it. Avoid pulling the tool handle threads due to over-tightening of the bushing. Teflon tape or sealant should not be needed to seal. Feed some clean ATF into the air inlet before you attach the air supply. When you attach air there should be no air passing or any tool operation. Now pulling the trigger and releasing it should operate the tool and shut it off as normal operation occurs. If you have leakage or passing air the seat may be damaged during installation. One customer told me he had to put sealant on the side of the seat to seal it with the tool handle bore. There is no o'ring under the tip valve seat or on top of it by design of the Snap on product engineers. The 2 smaller o'rings in my kits are for the IM5100 reverse valve body seal. The OEM reverse valve o'ring leaks over time and my recommendation is to use 2 side by side in place of the single o'ring that comes with the tool. The larger o'rings in this kit will fit the steel air inlet bushing for the tool. This throttle valve repair kit is my intellectual property and my design unique to only ebay and nowhere else. Your tool should be supplied with 90 to 100 PSI on wide open throttle through a 1/4" minimum ID sized air fitting. *Most of the low volume air fittings I commonly see on eBay air tools are not correctly sized (as-in too small) for the tools they are installed on. Your air hoses should be at least 3/8" ID internally up to 50 feet and 1/2" for any hose distances greater than 75 feet. Your air should be: clean, dry, filtered and have oil injected daily and often for best sealing results. Your IM5100 tool has a debris screen installed in the ME6F4A steel inlet bushing. If this screen is removed or plugged and the tool has been run for more than 30 minutes with these shade tree mechanic modifications then the tool should be fully disassembled, cleaned and tuned up before installing this rotor. When you disassemble your tool you will discard your 6-vane rotor and inspect the cylinder for pits and deeps scratches and grooves. The rear end plate is refurbished to remove scratches and rotor wear. Refurbishment of this end plate is done carefully and with the least amount of material removed to smooth the wear pattern uniformly without losing the parallel surfaces on the end plate. This is where live contact with me for help will come into play. This 8-vane conversion kit makes your new rotor free floating inside the air motor. Having a proper understanding of what needs to be done is why I am offering my help here. Professional technicians doing air tool repair daily know what to do here. DIY mechanics and weekend warriors should not hesitate to contact me for any particulars or questions that they may have with this conversion kit OR anything else they want to buy from me or are thinking of buying from me. I answer all of my inquiries with either email through eBay or phone communications through the "contact seller" portal. Make sure your buyer contact information is current before checkout is completed on eBay if you want me to contact you. Having old disconnected phone numbers or phones that disconnect me or go to voicemail are not my problem to contend with.**Note..Before your conversion is attempted consider full teardown and preliminary inspection of your IM5100. Proceed with this purchase when you know conditions are right. I am not in the business of taking returns when or because you encounter costly problems. Choose carefully and choose wisely knowing you have the right conditions for this conversion kit to work successfully. If after this conversion is done and your tool is still taking more effort than you would like to loosen fasteners then look at these items: engagement dogs, anvil flanks where the dogs are contacted, hammer pins and hammer frames for damage or wear. A broken or cracked hammer frame means you are probably starved for air to your tool and after a tune up have air hose issues or are a serial tool abuser who is too cheap to buy a 3/4" drive impact wrench. Hammer frames will break from tool abuse caused by worn out engagement dogs and worn out rotor vanes.I am here to help with this conversion kit. Proper installation, tool maintenance and air pressure requirements are 100% completely your responsibility to oversee before you blame me for any of your issues with my kit. The shipping weight is 1 pound with an eBay USPS.com Priority Mail shipping label. International orders are shipped to Glendale Heights, Illinois where the eBay Global Shipping Program completes the delivery process.
