This uncirculated 40 Solomon Island dollar note commemorates the 40th anniversary of Independence in 2018. It is a blue polymer note that measures 145 mm x 66 mm and bears the signatures of Central Bank Governor Denton Hehenoro Rarawa and Finance Ministry Secretary Fred Fakani. Its obverse side is vertically oriented and shows the map of the Solomon Islands, the national coat of arms, a standing man blowing a conch shell, and a conch shell in MASK. Its reverse side depicts children on a canoe, a sea turtle, fish, a coral reef, and a diver. Because the note is made of polymer substrate, it does not have a security thread or a watermark.
