The obverse of the note bears a club, dog carvings, and the coat of arms of Solomon Islands. The back of the note depicts Nymphalid butterflies, flowers, a pot, a snake, lizards. Shells, plants, and a spear are also visible. The banknote is 160 x 79 mm in size and carries a solid security thread. It also has a watermark that reveals a falcon in flight when held up to a light source. The note was printed by De La Rue and bears the signatures of Anthony Hughes and Mariano Kelesi.
