The Solomon Islands 50 dollars banknote is part of the family of notes released by the Central Bank of Solomon Islands in 2005 ND. The banknote has color combinations of purple, green, and yellow. Its obverse depicts the flag of Solomon Islands, a hologram, a club, dog carvings, and the national emblem that reflects a crocodile and a shark. The back of the note displays Nymphalid butterflies, flowers, a pot, a snake, lizards. Additionally, it shows shells, plants, and a spear. The note is 160 x 72 mm in size and bears a windowed security thread with a demetalized CBSI. It also carries a watermark that reveals a falcons head, an electrotype CBSI, and Cornerstones. It was printed by De La Rue and signed by the bank governor Rick Houeniplwela and Secretary of Finance Shadrach Fanega. This particular note is in uncirculated condition.
