Welcome to ANTIQUES & MOORE!This listing is for a lovely early 20th Century Sterling Silver swing handle basket made by the Saart Brothers of Attleboro MA. The basket is oval shaped with a wide rim and panel decorated lower body and bottom. The swing handle has a pierced design and is engraved "1892-1917" in center top. Marked "Sterling, 0314" with the SSMC trademark stamp of the Saart Bros. who have been in business making fine Sterling Silver items since 1901. Measures 1 1/2" high (at ends), 4 1/2" high (with handle in upright position), 7 3/8" long and 5 1/2" wide. Weighs 115 grams. This nice basket is in very good to excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws and reflecting only minor signs of normal wear.
