The leather is premium 10 oz leather and is much thicker than other strops on the market. This strop outlasts others for this very reason. Hand sanded and finished with a generous coat of boiled linseed oil on the handle. I use boiled linseed oil because it penetrates, strengthens, and protects the wood. Strop is 4.5” in overall length, lending itself well to sharpening your blade in the field and pocket knife maintenance.
