The lower portion of the mug is embellished with impressive applied alternating strapwork designs, each ornamented with bud designs on a matte background. The body of this large silver mug is further encircled with an embossed girdle in addition to an applied moulded border to the upper rim. This mug is fitted with an opposing scroll handle with a leaf decorated thumbpiece and a scrolling lower terminal.
