Sterling Flapper Replacement for 81352 The flapper/tank ball is responsible for keeping the water in the tank when the toilet/water closet is not in use. By actuating the tank handle the flapper/tank ball lifts up and lets the water out of the tank. The water goes into the bowl causing the bowl to flush. After the tank has been emptied the flapper/tank ball returns to its’ original position.
