It is a UK model so we changed the power plug to a USA 230V style plug. We plugged it in and it cooled down to around 5 °C within 10 minutes or so. It is 230V 50Hz not 60 Hz so we don't know what effect that will have on the lifespan. It has some small scratches and dents but nothing too noticeable.
