The Tonga 1 Pa anga banknote was released by the National Reserve Bank of Tonga in 2009 ND. The banknotes obverse features King George Tupou V and the emblem of Tonga. The reverse of the green paper bill depicts a whale leaping out of the water and a medallion. The banknote is 150 x 70 mm in size and bears a 1.4mm windowed security thread with a demetalized NRBT.
