This wooden toybox is one of those. I have 5 children and I know how hard kids can be on furniture. I designed this toy box to take a lot of abuse.These toy boxes are Cabinet Grade construction. I do not use Fiberboard (MDF), Particle Board, Furniture Board, or any other type of flimsy construction material. I use 3/4" inch wood products for all components. The carcass is made from 3/4" cabinet-grade veneered plywood and then trimmed in solid wood. I use one long piano style (continuous) hinge to attach the top to the base as well as an added soft-close/stay-open safety hinge to protect little fingers. These toyboxes are constructed TOUGH (they weigh 45lbs) and shipped fully assembled.
