It is a green polymer banknote that bears the signature of Bank Governor Dr. Alvin Hilaire and measures 156 mm x 66 mm. Its obverse side shows the national coat of arms, the national flag, and a blue-crowned motmot (Momotus momota). Its reverse side features the Central Bank building and a produce market. Because the banknote is made of polymer, it does not have a watermark. However, it has a simulated windowed security thread with a demetalized TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO/ FIVE.
