Two unusual APC error stamps with missing indicia!On all 4 pairs of #CVP86, all the left stamps only have the "Flag", the "Flowers", the "Heart" and "Mr. Zip" and the serial nr, but are totally missing the rest of the indicia (i.e.: the barcode, "US Postage", FOREVER, date, serial nr, etc); the right stamp is ok. All 4 of these error pairs came from the same machine at Zip Code 46256 (Indianapolis metro area) and were purchased on "date code" 456 (last 3 digits of the serial number at the bottom), which translates to December 9, 2012. Note: A simple spreadsheet calculation can give you the purchase date of these type of stamps. The cause of this error is still unknown. While there are other types of "partial" imprint errors known for these CVP stamps, this particular error is NOT one of them, This particular error is a true software or machine error (while the other types of errors with missing print are generally caused by the thermal print head not being fully snapped down on one side, and this error is NOT one of those, as there is full printing on either end of the left and right sides of the pair, just missing the indicia on the left stamp only!) These particular CVP designs have been obsolete for almost 10 years now. You will receive what is shown on the scan: 4x pairs (8 stamps) with each pair having one regular (right side) and one error (left side) stamp. At time of listing this lot, I have 2 identical sets. They are in the format of a block of 4 stamps (2 sets of horizontal pairs). I am listing this to sell as a quantity of 2 (ie: as 4 sets of 4 pairs; however, if the first purchaser buys both sets, I will deliver them in unsevered blocks of 4 rather than horizontal pairs.
