This vintage Velos Clicker dates from the 1930s or early 1940s. It was used on imperial scale maps to measure distances on roads or footpaths. It has a chrome plated cap that pulls off and protects the spring loaded clicker wheel. It's black coloured Bakelite handle is in the form of a letter opener and paper cutter. On the side it is marked with a patent number of "422611". It is also marked as "British Made". It measures 3 3/4 inches (95.00mm) long with the cap on.
