It is approximately 9 3/4” across at its widest point. It has a swing handle. The tray pattern features flowers, leaves and beaded swirls. These features are carried into the handle. The backside is marked for the Southington Cutlery Company. It includes the company’s circular logo surrounding the words”quadruple plate”. Outside the logo is 2002, the company’s pattern number. The company started in 1867. Silver plated wares were made between 1883 and 1893, when that division was acquired by the Meridian Britannia Company. Except for a few scratches in the center, the tray is in very good or better condition.
