Viking Tourney Sword - Blunt from Kingston Arms Viking Tourney Sword - Blunt from Kingston Arms With features such as through tang handle construction, hammered stainless steel pommel and guard, 2mm rounded edge thickness, this is an ideal sword for recreation or show fighting. The cord-wrapped leather grip feels exceptional in the hand with an oval cross-section and slight barrel shape to keep fatigue at bay and ensure a firm grip. The grip is large enough to fit in armored hands. A respectable fuller runs the length of this sword to lighten and balance the overall sword. Each sword comes with a wooden core and a leather-wrapped scabbard with a stainless steel coating on the tip. The blade is forged from 9260 spring steel and is hardened to around 50 HRC, providing a durable sword. The guard needs a special mention, with the King-Peen system. King-Peen is essentially a steel tab on the guard below the hilt that is attached through the tang of the sword. This process prevents the guard from loosening after a long campaign without compromising the strength of the grip. The knob is pressed into place and hot hammered.
