Here is a 1921 Gibson a-3 mandolin that is all original and in good condition. Plays great and sounds great at 100+ years old. Original finish is in good condition and shows typical wear after all of these years. Neck is straight. Top is still arched and not sinking. I have owned it for a few years now and it really is a fun mandolin to play. Sounds great with the aluminum bridge which is 100% original and was only used between 1921-1922 at Gibson. The back has shifted slightly on the bottom edge as can be seen in the photos. Still solid and doesn’t cause any issues with the sound while playing. Overall, this is a very sold old Gibson mandolin that’s ready for another 100 years of use. No case but will be packed safely.
