Check the listing for details. Vintage 1970's Electro Voice PL76 condenser microphone box w accessories # 2. Listed at 179.00 USD. Hello and welcome to the House of Chrome. You are looking at a vintage 1970's Electro Voice PL76 model condenser cardioid microphone set at low impedance that comes with it's original mic clip, cable, box and data sheet. Pic # 2 shows this very model as well as a few others in an old 1970's catalog I have. This microphone is a high quality E.V product that has an all metal design with it's original painted olive drab scheme. This mic was sold for about 10 years and a higher end studio type microphone. You rarely see these around today and are a bit underrated. These mics have a very nice sound with a warm tone and excellent uni-directional characteristics. The mic uses an internal battery that powers the mic. It should be noted that there are conversion kits being sold on Ebay so that you no longer need a battery for these amazing microphones. They are just $25.00 too. Takes a few minutes to install so that you can run this mic via Phantom Power. If you need a link for this please just ask and I'll send it to you. Pic # 6 shows you the model number of batteries that you can get to power this microphone and this card comes with the mic which will come in handy for you or any future owner of this mic. Pic # 4 is of the actual data sheet you'll be receiving that will really come in handy as well. It's in very nice condition and has a ton of technical info on the PL76. The PL76 is appx 7 1/2 inches long X 2 inches across. It's lite weight for it's size and easy to grasp. The on / off switch works excellent and slides smoothly. The PL76 label looks very good and completely legible. As you can see in the pics provided the mic is in excellent overall cosmetic condition. There is just small paint chips but zero scratches or pitting on the painted finish. The globe is free of dents, odors or tarnish. The XLR pins were cleaned on the mic ensuring a perfect signal once a cable is attached. Mic takes a standard XLR cable and one is provided. The cable is appx 20 feet in length. Soft, pliable and has the standard male 1/4 inch end connector for use with most audio equipment. Cable is just as nice as the mic. The mic comes with it's original E.V mic clip that grips the mic well and provides a good degree of tilt up and down. It will screw onto any desk or floor stand you have. Mic clip is in excellent condition as well. The original mic box is included. It does show typical lite wear but a great place to store everything and great for resale purposes. You have everything you need except for the cable. A great package deal and a great mic for just about any situation at hand. MICROPHONE STAND SHOWN IS NOT PART OF THIS SALE AND USED FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY... As with all my vintage microphones... I can promise you will be happy with it for the price paid. If not...I have a no hassle return policy. The return shipping will be on you as I believe that's fair but the purchase price would be refunded. Simply return in the same nice condition...period.
