Check the listing for details. Vintage Bourbon Barrel Bung Mallet Hammer. Condition: Used. Listed at 75.00 USD. Wooden bourbon barrel bung mallet. Used at the Old Crow Distillery in central Kentucky until its closure in 1987. The thin handle was used to insure the bung wasn’t driven in too deep making it difficult for removal. The bung had to be removed for testing and bottling purposes. Ten bungs are included but are relatively new.
