Private Estate Collection Liquidation: Vintage Delft (Holland) tobacco jar in vivid hand painted blue pillory illustration. This jar is tobacconist reverse marked "van Rossem's Toeback Anno 1750" trademark as per Col. van Rossem's ( and company) Caribbean era tobacco concession affiliation with the VOC, Dutch East India Company including European importation thru World War One. This jar exhibits undamaged excellent era conserved condition showing correct slight finish crazing, with original Mold Mark "V.R" impressed into the base, and hand painted Blue Delfts, Handpainted, "Made in Holland" in bold print script. It comes with the correct undamaged era fitted brass lid. The jar body width approximates 5 in at widest, 6 1/2in overall height, and the mouth is correctly 3 3/8in across.
