IT WAS MADE BY GENERAL ELECTRIC AND OPERATES BE SIMPLY BEING PLUGGED IN. WE DID NOT MAKE ACTUAL WAFFLES, HOWEVER WE DID PLUG IT IN AND LET IT HEAT UP. SINCE THAT IS ALL IT REALLY TAKES TO PREPARE A WAFFLE, WE ARE ASSUMING IT WORKS. THIS WAFFLE IRON HAS SOME AGE TO IT AND WHILE A GOOD CLEANING MIGHT HELP THE SHINE, IT'S NOT ENTIRELY NECESSARY.
