The historic Lucy Cobb Institute was located in the historical district of Athens, Georgia established in 1859 by founder Thomas Cobb and closed in 1937 Institute was named after Thomas‘s daughter who had died from scarlet fever prior to construction etched into the flat portion of the handle reads Lucy Cobb Institute on the top surface and the bottom reads Athens, Ga. plus on the bowl Sterling , as you view in Photos I’ve tried to get many angles so that you could see engravings and etching. I polished spoon to better read the fine etched printing. The spoon is an excellent condition no defects observed approximate size 4 1/4 inches long and bowl 7/8 of an inch wide. Non-magnetic tested.
