Vintage cast iron trivet or plaque with encased ceramic tile with an American flag shield and the motto E Pluribus Unum... "Out of many, one" a reference to the many states which comprise our Federal Union. Cast iron trivet has an eagle at top and a military bugle at bottom. Nice patriotic decor, perfect for a 4th of July gathering or similar events. Probably from the 1960s or 70s. Condition: tile and trivet are both in nice used vintage condition, however please note that the rubber protectors are cracking from age and one protector is missing from one of the feet.
