You are buying an A4 modern print of the original pattern, not the finished item.This is a super 40s pattern for a wonderful short sleeved jumper with vary-coloured stripes running across the body to give a lovely rainbow effect. A lovely design, a little out of the ordinary! This jumper has been designed to fit a 36 inch bust and was originally constructed from 3-ply Pure Botany Fingering on No.11 and No.9 needles. You may wish to try a modern 4-ply to make this jumper, as vintage yarns were 'heavier' than todays modern yarns, but would recommend working a tension square in modern 4-ply first to see if a change of needles is needed (tension information etc. below).If you purchase any of my vintage copied patterns you can enjoy free p&p on any vintage knitting needles purchased from my shop.
