Shipping | Policies Vintage Large 33" Maitland-Smith Tessellated Stone Floor Trunk; Brass Stringing Stylish vintage 1980s tessellated stone trunk by luxury furniture brand Maitland-Smith (similar to a cedar chest in size but a bit smaller). Beautifully figured patterns created by the small rectangular cream-colored tiles, with contrasting dark grey pieces creating a focal point where a lock would usually be. There is a band running around the outside edges of the front, top and back. The rectangular trunk is set on Art Deco style feet in a quarter-round shape, made of alternating grey and cream. The grey portions are edged in brass stringing, and the lid and base of the open trunk are trimmed in brass as well. Two solid brass hinges slide into the wall of the base. In exceptionally clean vintage condition. Solid and level. There are a few minor abrasions on the edges - primarily the top left side but very minor and these have been touched up. They are not deep and either could be filed smooth or filled as they are quite small. A few tiny dings along the bottom edge. Stable and solid. Non smoking, no pet home.
