Vintage NOS Dr. Grabow Adjustomatic without makers mark, very clean pipe, DOES NOT say Dr. Grabow but has the makers mark on the stem. If you know anything about Grabow, they’ve been at this for a long time. They used to make so many pipes that some wouldn’t pass final inspection, minor flaws, unaligned stem, basically not up to their fullest standard. These pipes would get labeled adjustomatic with the patent number and be sold across the country to shops and other smaller makers (as well as the US Military) to put their own logo on and sell as a house brand pipe. Sometimes they make it past that stage and get part of the Grabow line installed like this one with the spade
