This was such a great estate sale find! It is hand painted with a lovely maiden carrying a bouquet. That would make it a great wedding, anniversary, or birthday gift! It is in really good condition and the paint is vibrant. The lady that cherished this was an amateur painter and I'm assuming this is one of her artworks. It dates from the 1990s. Her husband was a woodworker and I'm also assuming he made this and she painted it. The underside of the chair seat suggests that he remeasured or changed his mind about the design at one time. The chair does have a part on the backside at the top that seems to have shifted a bit. I'm not sure if that is a mistake made in the original design or if the wood glue used to adhere the wood strip layers together loosened with time and use. It is visible in the photos. The chair is 18" high from the floor to the top of the seat. It is 41" high from the floor to the top of the seat back. Please look over the photos carefully as this is a pre-owned item.
