Check the listing for details. Vintage Saudi Arabian Round Capsa Stand. Condition: Used. Listed at 200.00 USD. SAUDI TINNED COPPER CAPSA STAND Offered for your consideration is a smaller than usual, tinned over copper, hand-made caps stand. Capsa is a traditional dish of the Arabian Peninsula. The usual circular size of these stands is 30-36" in diameter. Usually placed in the center of seated diners, contains heaping amounts of rice, boiled or braised meat or poultry. The custom is to eat only using the right hand. The item for sale is much smaller, likely belonging to migratory Bedouins or in a women's tent reflecting the tradition of separation of the sexes in separate tents. This is a primitive piece. Missing one of it's wrought side handles. Having lived in the Kingdom for 4 years, I have never seen another specimen like this one. See pics for inspection.
