Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS First Class.This vintage 75-year-old, pistol grip, Acetylene Torch was designed in 1942 by Donald H. Black of Salem Oregon. This was a state-of-the-art design and a leap forward in what was currently available in gas burning equipment of the time. The tool incorporating convivence of handling, improved gas mixing and air induction, and a built-in flint and striking element. This easy-to-handle design permitted fine regulation of heat with an adjustable torch tip and a manually operated trigger for on and off control. It was ideal for close bench work with small parts and fittings. Mr. Brown submitted his Patent Design Application to Canada in 1942.
