For your consideration is a vintage blacksmith tongs measuring 28½” long with 2½” flat jaws. They are unmarked as to manufacturer. They have some play at the pivot. I would say you could comfortably hold up to ½” inch flat stock with these tongs. Though not perfect, this is still a good usable tool that you are purchasing as-is and as-pictured.
