This Zenith Space Command Clicker is in great vintage condition (please see pics for any flaws, such as scratches). Mid-century, atomic, sleek, and chrome. Totally space age! Late 1950s through 1960s. Contains four aluminum tuning rods that correspond with the remote's four buttons. Early TV remotes like this one used a mechanical system of rods acting as tuning forks. When a button was pressed, it struck a rod of a specific length, producing an ultrasonic frequency. Microphones in the TV then detected these high-pitched sounds and activated the corresponding function, such as volume or channel change.
