As a kid in the 1950s, I purchased one of these Midwest kits from America's Hobby Center in NY. Walt Good's famous 72" span GUFF was in the box but I never built it. When I mentioned that some of Walt Good's earliest RC experiments were done on this 1938 GUFF. I found PLANS in a issue of Air Trails. Remember, back then, PLANS were not sold---you had to draw up your own. Recently I finally found an original 72" span PLAN on eBay that had darkened with age. My copy firm salvaged it for me---even though it is still darker than my other 600+ PLANS. Still, for those who want a true antique PLAN that was the forerunner of all RC, this is it!!!!! This is a very good GUFF PLAN that gives you a 72" wing span. The 1938 Air Trails article is included in this offer and it has parts patterns in it that are full-size.
