It is a small pamphlet for American soldiers to learn French words and phrases related to wartime activities. Sections include: "Writing a Letter", "The Railway", "Officers", "Artillery", "Aviation", "The Trench", "Weapons", and "Commands". It measures about 4" x 6"and has 64 pages. This one was given out by the Knights of Columbus Chapter in Louisville. There is also a Knights of Columbus traveling card dated 1916 in the front of the booklet. Neat period item that looks to have been carried by a soldier. Some staining and minor roughness. Buyer to pay the actual cost of shipping. Thanks!
