WW2 ARMY NAVY "E" AWARD STAMPS, 2 DIFFERENT TYPES, UNUSED-NEW OLD STOCK. These are ORIGINAL and VINTAGE, scarce and prized collectible WW2 era issue ARMY NAVY "E" AWARD stamps/stickers. These were used by Manufacturing Companies that produced " war materials", and acknowledged by the WAR DEPARTMENT for "Excellence in Production". These are "new old stock" stamps that were never used or applied, and remain in MINT condition to this day. Generally affixed to Company correspondence/letters that were 'PROUD" of their award status. One stamp is a "embossed shiney foil-type" construction, while the other is a "smooth paper-type" construction. Total of 4283 companies achieved this 'coveted' award, which was only 5% of the estimated war plants producing product. You will receive ONE SET of BOTH (2) stamps only, in this auction.
