The items were probably never issued or used in combat, but they are pre-owned, so I can't call them new. I bought them from the estate of a WW2 US 3RD INF DIV Vet in early 1990s. There are some red or maroon ink-stamped Waffen Amt markings on the reverse side of one flap closure strap. The buckles w/ metal tips marked LUX are the same type used on WW2 German combat engineer pack.
