This is an official reprint of the 1901 $10 large size Legal Tender “Bison” Note. It was made, by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) , and released in extremely limited numbers as part of a Lewis and Clark Coin and Currency commemorative set. It is in uncirculated condition. The original version of this note goes for thousands of dollars in this condition, so for many of us this is the ideal alternative to fill that hole in our collection. The front of the note says “specimen” on the right seal, the back of the note is blank to remain in compliance with federal law.
