This is a recreation of one type of pistol cartridge holder that was improvised by US Army Cavalry troopers during the Indian Wars period. It has 12 loops for individual cartridges, with large 2 1/2 inchbelt loops to fit over the 1872 and 1874 pattern saber belts then in use. This will NOT fit on Mills woven cartridge belts.
