The thickness of the veneer varies according to the species, but averages 1/42" (0.6mm) There is a variety of wood veneer in each box depending on availability, most times there are atleast 7 different kinds. We cannot tell you the species of veneer you will get in your pack as each is a random selection of wood we have at the time we make the box.
