I picked up a Collection of these Pre and Post Civil War Modified Bayonets. This is one of them. This is a highly modified French M1866 Bayonet. It has light surface rusting on it. Guard has been turned around backwards and made into a hand guard. The Release Button works. Very unique. Definitely One-of-a-Kind, Post Civil War, Fighting Knife!
