Nice rarely found 18th century Square Poll Belt hatchet / axe. This was recently found in a Bucks County PA farmhouse and has the original hardwood handle.Weighs 1 1/2 pounds. The blade edge is 3 1/4”. 4 1/2” wide. The eye measures 1 3/8” by 3/8”. There are some hard to read markings (see photo). This style axe was manufactured between 1750 and 1783.
