I don't know what the hair is made of. The cord is old and probably should be replaced. I have no idea if the lamp works or not. I have had it for years and I've kept it in a box. The horse stands approx. 9 1/2". 12" including the lamp pole. It is approx. 10" long. It does not come with a lamp shade. I do accept reasonable offers on most items but please do not waste my time or yours by offering half or less of the listed price.Please review pictures before buying.
